::Think, Analyse , Action::

"Bright red and grown
Held in one's hand
Once was sown
Now picked from the land
A piece of nature's beauty
Handle with care
For it is Earth's gift to share"
-Quoted Poems"

In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious And The Most Merciful, He who Created Us And Earth .

Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say anything about saving our planet? Did he promote any ideas or practices relevant to the world's growing concern about the future of the earth and its resources?
Today, with the increasing awareness of the dangers facing our planet and the great interest in green ideas, a reflection on the guidance of the Prophet in this area proves helpful and relevant. What is distinctive about the Prophet's approach to environmental issues is the connection he establishes between green practices and the Hereafter reward, which represents for Muslims an incentive greater than any worldly gain or reward and, as a result, prompts a greater care for the earth and more effort to conserve its resources.

Anas also reported that the Prophet said, "If a Muslim plants a
tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from
it, it is regarded as a charitable gift (sadaqah) for him." (Bukhari)

Allah has created everything in truth and with truth. The creation of Allah is perfect and it is perfectible. Allah says,

You cannot see any fault in the Beneficent One's creation] (Al-Mulk 67:3).

So what is currently our responsibility? We are not here to conquer nature. In Islam, there is no such concept of conquering nature. Yes, you can use the resources here that Allah has created. But when using them we have to be responsible. You are to treat Allah's creation with mercy and gentleness. As Imam Ghazali teaches us, we are not supposed to even cut off a branch of a tree unnecessarily.

Another example regarding the use of water, which is precious: The way we use
it today implies that we think that there is an unlimited reservoir of
water. We should not do that. Even regarding wudu', the Prophet told us not to take more water than necessary, even if making wudu' in a running river or lake. Excessiveness (israf) is condemned by Allah and His Messenger.

So, lets us together keep our Earth clean and clear with our islamic values inside us ^_~

Be part of the solution rather than the problem

God created this whole wonderful world. He made it beautiful, happy and green. There were large green fields with grass and colourful flowers. Then God made birds and animals to live in the meadows and the fields, the woods and the forests. After that God created Man to take care of his beautiful creations. He made Man as the most intelligent and best of all his creations.

Allah  Says in the Holy Quran:
"We have indeed created man in the best of moulds (95:4)"

Being part of HIS MOST INTELLIGENT CREATURE , why haven’t we think of what we have done to the earth ? why we keep on neglecting our responsibilities in protecting the earth ? why we keep on destroying the earth ? why ?

Now , we should probably get up and realize that the earth is in critical danger. How to save the earth ?
There are 10 ways we can consider doing .

1. Replace a fluorescent bulb with an eco-friendly bulb. The pollution reduction would be equivalent to     removing one million cars from the road.
2.  RECYCLE GLASS. Recycled glass reduces related air pollution by 20 percent and related water pollution by 50 percent. If it isn't recycled it can take a million years to decompose.
3.   Use both sides of paper
4.   Recycle newspaper because recycling just the Sunday papers would save more than half a million trees every week.
5.  TAKE A SHORTER SHOWER because every two minutes you save on your shower can conserve more than ten gallons of water
6.  Consume less is a must, but to consume better is a priority.
7.   Buy a charger and a few sets of rechargeable batteries.
8.   Go to a car wash as professional car washes are often more efficient with water consumption. If everyone in thewho washes their car themselves took just one visit to the car wash we could save nearly 8.7 billion gallons of water.
9.   TURN OFF COMPUTERS AT NIGHT. By turning off your computer instead of leaving it in sleep mode, you can save 40 watt-hours per day
10. Spread the word because not everybody realize what we have to face in the future if we don’t start saving the earth.

Let us take part in helping  the earth smile so that we don’t turn out to be the destroyer of earth.

Ainal Syazwan bin Itamta A1 Five Tips to Save Our Earth

Hello guys, I'm Ainal and I am a nature lover...
So, as a nature lover I will do anything that can save our earth from a pollution and I think
it doesn’t have to be Earth Day for me to think about how I can make a good impact on our planet. Here are a few of my favourite tips that we can do even though it is not earth day.

First,  reuse your water bottle. Avoid buying bottled water.  In fact, reuse everything at least
 once, especially plastics.

Second, check out your bathroom. Use low-flow faucets, shower heads, and toilets.

Third, turn off lights and electronics when you leave the room. Unplug your cell phone charger from the wall when not using it. Turn off energy strips and surge protectors when not in use (especially overnight).

Fourth, recycle your newspapers

and finally, buy products that use recyclable materials whenever possible

So what are we waiting for? I have started doing all the step above. How about you? You should realise that our earth is in danger. You should take this 5 steps as your first action in order to save this world from any pollution and remember this ,with just a simple step ,you can change this polluted world into a tranquil world.

Letter for our Mother

Azizul Hakim Noor Hadi
A1 2013

Dear mother Earth, we always wanted you to know that we love you so much and we are really grateful and thankful to have you as the only place we have to stay. However, some of us might don’t realise that. They even hurt you every day by doing many things towards you, with a more accurate word, ‘pollution’. Mother, I’m so sorry for that. I know that you are in a bad condition now and suffer a lot since the world has been developed by men. We are trying our best to help you. We will do anything we can for your happiness cause we love you . <3

so people, let's us save our mother together.

Make everyday Earth day!

MOHAMAD HADI BIN GHAZALI  A1
Today is Earth Day! Over a billion people in 192 countries participated in Earth Day. People from all around the world are organized demonstrations, clean ups, tree plantings, educational events, festivals, and more to protect the environment.

Nowadays, human actions cause bad effects to the earth such as global warming, climate change, greenhouse effect, increase in the water sea level and others. In addition, the air, soil and water pollution made by men make the earth dying from day to day. Some individual throw the rubbish into the river, dispose toxic and chemical materials into the sea and factory release the sulphur dioxide to surrounding atmosphere.

So, as the precaution steps we must save our earth by preventing any pollution becomes worse. People from different races, genders, and religious backgrounds all came out to show their support for the environment. Besides, the government and other society or NGO must give their support to community to ensure them keep the earth from any pollution for the next generation.

Lastly, I hope all people can lend their hand to make sure our environment in good condition and make the life much better.

"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better."

Muzzafar bin Tajuden (A1)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t. to all readers!

Nature is everything.

Though it may seem different through our eyes, our Earth is really just a huge forest. All these concrete buildings were never here. The roads and highways never existed. Cars, motorcycles and planes were only imagination. We have benefited greatly from Earth’s offerings and continue to use them for the greater good of mankind.

However, that isn't the case here, as we are currently using these advantages solely against Mother Nature. Shouldn't we act differently? I mean, over-deforestation, global warming, water pollution and other crimes we have done towards our planet Earth? Pretty cruel, isn't it? In the search for natural minerals, we have nothing but cause negative effects to nature. But wait! There’s more!

Humans are not the only living species on this planet, obviously. Animals too! These innocent creatures continue their daily lives in the wild, unaware of any danger about to be cause by humans. Out of a sudden, bam! They’re habitats are cleared and left just like that. Sure, trees will grow once again, but it will take a long time. So until then, animals would have to migrate as their natural resources are suppressed at a maximum level.
Nature at its finest. The beauty!

Now, let’s just say, in a parallel universe, animals did the same to us. You wouldn't be so happy about it, right? Yes, I thought so.

Going green is easier than you think. There are little things you can do every day to help reduce greenhouse gases and make a less harmful impact on the environment. Taking care of the Earth is not just a responsibility -- it's a privilege. Let’s take a look at some interesting steps:-

      - Pay attention to how you use water. The little things can make a big difference. Every time you turn off the water while you're brushing your teeth, you're doing something good.

       - Turn off the lights. Even if you're only going out of the room for a few minutes. Those kilowatts add up.

 -  Go vegetarian once a week. One less meat-based meal a week helps the planet and your diet. For example: It requires 2,500 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef. You will also also save some trees. For each hamburger that originated from animals raised on rain forest land, approximately 55 square feet of forest have been destroyed.

       - Give it away. Before you throw something away, think about if someone else might need it. Either donate to a charitable organization or post it on a web site designed to connect people and things.

       - SHARE! Take what you've learned, and pass the knowledge on to others. If every person you know could take one small step toward being greener, the collective effort could be phenomenal.

Looks pretty easy to save the world, right? That’s because it is! It may look like it isn’t much, but holistically, oh my, we could change planet Earth forever. For the better, of course.

Go ahead, start a revolution. Do anything you possibly can to rescue Mother Earth. She’s pretty sick. According to recent statistics, I’m not so sure if she can hold it any longer.

Just Trees, Nothing Special. Or Is It?

by Syahida Alis A1

Assalamualaikum W.B.T and hello everyone :)

How is everyone doing on this fine day? I hope you all are having a nice day. If you aren't, well here's a joke for you.

Police: Where do you live?
Me: With my parents.
Police: Where does your parents live?
Me: With me.
Police: Where do you all live?
Me: Together.
Police: Where is your house?
Me: Next to my neighbor's house
Police: Where is your neighbor's house?
Me: If I tell you, you won't believe me.
Police: Tell me.
Me: Next to my house.
What happens next is up to your own creativity.

All jokes aside, I would like to share with everyone a few, maybe more, facts that you may or may not know about trees.

Trees, we see them everywhere, everyday. We all know trees are important because they produce oxygen. As human beings, we need oxygen to breathe and stay alive but do we really know the true value of a tree? A tree not only provides a home to animals but is also their source of food. Let's take an trip down imagination lane.
Oh Spongebob
Imagine that you went for a long holiday trip. You left your house and bid goodbye to your loved ones. By the time you came back, your house was gone and your family was no where to be seen. How you would feel at that time?

This sad koala had returned to it's old home after it had been clear for logging.
Animals are sentient beings too. They may not be able to express their feelings as well as we can but they can feel just as much. There are many inspiring stories about animals with human-like behaviors out there. Try to read a few. Who knows, you might learn something from them.

Back to the main topic, how much do you really know about trees? Are they really are just shelters and supplies for humans and animals? Read these facts and count how many of them you might already know.
  • Well-maintained trees and shrubs can increase property value by up to 14%.
  • Trees properly placed around buildings can reduce air conditioning needs by 30%
  • A mature tree removes almost 70 times more pollution than a newly planted tree.
  • A healthy tree can have a value of up to $10,000.
  • The shade and wind buffering provided by trees reduces annual heating and cooling costs by 2.1 billion dollars.
  • A single tree produces approximately 260 pounds of oxygen per year. That means two mature trees can supply enough oxygen annually to support a family of four!
  • One tree can absorb as much carbon in a year as a car produces while driving 26,000 miles.
  • Over the course its life, a single tree can absorb one ton of carbon dioxide.
  • The average tree in an urban/city area has a life expectancy of only 8 years.
Interesting, isn't it? Who knew something so common can hold so much value? Then again, we humans tend to forget and when we forget, we often tend to take things for granted as well. This is usually the logic behind every tragic tale.

Plant a tree. It may seem like a simple act maybe even meaningless to some cynics but every big achievement starts with a small step.
